Stella McCartney was the creative director of Chloé until 2001 when she left the French label to launch her own. Three years later, in 2004, she started a long time collaboration with the sport clothing and accessory brand Adidas. It might be unexpected when thinking of the very urban elegant style of Stella McCartney’s designs, but it perfectly worked. This collaboration is of course still on today and offers at each season new collections for practising sports without losing style. Skiing, hiking, jogging, yoga, the label makes sport collection for many kinds of activities, with nice lines, pretty colors and comfortable materials for moving.

The Adidas by Stella McCartney line of course makes track pants and sweaters, coats, tops and shoes, probably the most important item in a sport outfit if you don’t want to get injured. On the shoe side, you will find running shoes as well as ballerinas that are perfect for the craziest yoga postures. They always are very comfortable with nice colors and modern designs. Colors can be quite bright, with many pinks and greys (and running is much easier when you have pink trainers on your feet.) By asking Stella McCartney to work with them, Adidas did with no doubt choose the right person to put some glamor to its image! If you were not really keen on sport, you might change your mind!
