Paloma Barcelo: the label and the designer

The Spanish designer Manolo Barcelo launched in 1960 a new label to make espadrille sandals and named it after his daughter Paloma. Right from the beginning, he started following handicraft know-how while always putting a lot of attention to details and quality. His son Manuel is today at the head of the family company and tries to never forget about what his father created, whether it be for the shoe styles, the techniques used during production or the quality of materials.

Paloma Barcelo: sandals and espadrilles

Paloma Barcelo is a label that smells like summer, heat, sun, beach and holidays. Even if the braided sole is the label’s trademark, Paloma Barcelo has nothing of the usual sometimes shapeless pairs of espadrilles that you might have worn to casually hang out at home or on the beach. The Spanish label makes espadrilles but designs them with chic and style. To turn these espadrilles into something very special, wedges, ribbons and rope to be tied around the ankle, high heels and bold colors are used. The sole is of course one of the biggest detail bringing a lot or personality to the shoes and you will be able to choose between rope in the espadrille style or cork in a very sixties spirit.
The Paloma Barcelo sandals are thus perfect to fit a nice summer dress or a pair of shorts, canvas or denim. With a style both casual and feminine, they can be worn during the day, for a walk along the beach or lunch outside, as much as in the evening to go out and drink cocktails. We particularly love their sandals with colorful braided rope sole and their high, large and comfortable heels. You will easily be able to buy these shoes online.
